Growing up I hated to hear we need to work in the garden. It was something that was hot, lots of work, and I felt like it was not my job. Mowing the lawn was the only yard work i loved. I disagreed on everything in the garden. I now love those flowers and things I disagreed with. But fast forward to my yard and I'm so Thankful for the little knowledge I learned from my Mom and how I'd do anything to go back and learn more. She was amazing. I guess growing up as a farmers daughter it was her life and she was good at it. It has became something I love. I find myself going out at 7am to turn water on, pull a few weeds and there I am five hours later or ten hours. My husband usually is telling me time to come in you've been out there long enough. Your probably dehydrated. I still have a hard time coming in. I'm preparing to get the garden going its a lot of work but sure is beautiful at end result. I just wish my yard was as beautiful as my moms or my grandmas yard was. I now try and take care of my Mom's yard along with my yard. Lots of work and I'm deffinatly not the best. Here are a few pictures of my yard last year. Sure love what it looks like after things are growing flowers are blooming but doesn't everyone.
